The dress should be worth what you paid for it.

We won't tell you we out-sew a couture atelier. What we will tell you is that a large share of a luxury price tag is the name — and we would rather you spent your money on the dress.

Why we started

It began with a frustration you may recognise.

You save for something for an occasion that matters. You buy from a house whose name you know, at a price that makes you pause before you click. Then it arrives, and you turn it inside out — and the seams, the lining, the finish are fine. Ordinary. Nothing about the garment itself explains the number on the tag.

We are five people who care about clothes, and we kept having that experience. So we set out to do the opposite: find pieces where the price is about the dress rather than the marketing behind it, and sell them at that price.
